NSWCCC Representative Sport

Selections for 2021

Teams are selected in the following divisions:

• Under 15 Boys:
   Must be 15 years or under as at 31/12, the year of the trial. Born in 2006 or 2007. Students can not turn 16 in the year of the tournament.
  NSWCCC trials are held each year. Our trials are held in Wagga Wagga. These trials will be on Wednesday 21st April 2021 from 9am to 2.30pm.

• 15 Girls:
  Must be 15 years or under as at 31/12, the year of the trial. Born in 2006 or 2007. Students can not turn 16 in the year of the tournament.
  NSWCCC trials are held each year. Our regional trials are held in Wagga Wagga. These trials will be on Tuesday 20th April 2021 from 9am to 2.30pm.

Players are selected for the trial from their nomination information they submit online through the link below.

Entries close

Thursday 1st April, 2021 for the U/15 Boys and
Thursday 1st April, 2021 for the U/15 Girls.

If successful at this trial, they progress to the following pathway:

• NSW All Schools Boys Australian Football Championships / Selections:

General Information

Students nominate to participate in the NSW All Schools Canoeing Championships. They must be experienced competitors and must complete a detailed application form available from the Department of Education Website.

There are 5 events contested

• Slalom
• Wildwater (Downriver)
• Wildwater sprints
• Flatwater sprints
• Freestyle

These events are contested in the following divisions

• 12 Years and under
• 14 Years and under
• 16 Years and under
• 17 Years and over - Open

The 2021 NSW All Schools Canoeing Championships are to be held over 4 days in May at the Nymboida Canoe Centre, Nymboida River and Clarence River, Grafton from 15th- 18th May.

There are several divisions for Representative Cricket.

Selections for 15 Boys Cricket

• Students must be Under 15 and in Year 11 or below as at 1 September in the year of selection.
•  

• All players must be a minimum of 13 years of age and must not turn 17 years in the year of competition.

• A minimum of year 8 and maximum of year 11.

• Representative experience is highly recommended.  

• U/16 Boys trials for the 2021 season will be held at Penshust on Monday 1st March at Penshurst Oval, Penshurst.
  Nominations close on Thursday 18th February 2021.

  Selections for 19 Boys Cricket

  • Students must be Under 19 and in Year 11 or below as at 1 September in the trialling year

Pathways

After selection in the PDSSSC Football team, the pathway for school football is as follows:

• NSWCCC Championships / Selections
  Students selected will represent the PDSSSC at the NSWCCC Selection Championships which are held over two days in May or June each year.
• Congratulations to the following players who have been selected in the PDSSSC Football teams for 2020

  All players are asked to complete the  NSWCCC Registration online, by following the attached instructions.

  The 2021 event will be held in Valentine Park, Glenwood on the 25th-26th May.
  Players selected in the Girls team will be asked to attend training on Tuesdays (venue to be confirmed) on the 27th April, and the 4th, 11th and 18th May from 4.30pm to 5.45pm.
• The boys have organised their first session and later session details will be advised to the players.

School Teams Events

Schools can also nominate to play in the NSWCCC Knockout tournaments run across the state. There are 4 divisions for Year 7-9 and Opens Girls as well as Year 7-10 and Open Boys. Teams need to participate in the PDSSSC section of this competition, with the winning teams progressing through to the main draw.

Entries close on March 5th 2021 for the Open divisions.
Entries close on March 31st 2021 for the Boys Year 7-10 and Girls Year 7-9 divisions.

• In 2021, the PDSSSC will hold a Girls Open Football Gala Day on Friday 30th April at Jamison Park, Penrith.
  Teams are asked to be at the ground by 8:10am with the first games commencing at 8:30am. Finals should be played by around 2:30pm.

• In 2021, the PDSSSC will hold a Boys Open Football Gala Day and Selection Day on Friday 30th April at Jamison Park, Penrith.
  Teams are asked to be at the ground by 8:10am with the first games commencing at 8:30am. Finals should be played by around 2:30pm.

• Congratulations to the boys from Marian Catholic College and Emmaus Catholic College, and the girls from Marian Catholic College and Xavier College, who represented PDSSSC in the Quarter Finals of the state wide NSWCCC Knockout against the winners of the Wollongong Diocese on Monday 15th August, 2019 at Sutherland.

• In 2021, the PDSSSC will hold a Boys Year 7-10 and Girls Year 7-9  Football Gala Day on Wednesday 2nd June at Jamison Park, Penrith.
  Teams are asked to be at the ground by 8.10am with the first games commencing at 8.30am. Finals should be played by around 2.30pm.

Individual students may enter the championships by completing nomination forms and submitting them to the convenor of the sport. Students must have a golf handicap and be a member of a Golf Club to participate.

The NSWCCC Golf Tournament will be held at Macquarie Links Golf Course, Macquarie Links on Monday 8th March, 2021.

Entries close on Thursday 25th February, 2021.

The 2021 NSW All Schools Golf Tournament will be held from 24th - 28th May at Batemans Bay.

On Wednesday 21st July 2021, the PDSSSC will be holding a Netball Gala Day at Penrith Netball Complex in 3 divisions:

In 2021 the Under 15 trials will be held on Wednesday 17th March 2021 at Heber Park, Hebersham from 9am - 2.30pm.

In 2021 a PDSSSC Under 15s Rugby League Gala Day will be held on Wednesday 17th March 2021 in conjunction with the selection trial at Heber Park, Hebersham.

The SICC (Sydney Independent Catholic Colleges) Rugby League selection trial is on Wednesday 24th March at the Ponds Stadium, Fyfe Rd, Kellyville Ridge, Kellyville Ridge. The selected players, listed below are asked to be there around 7.30am. Players will be given a pair of socks and a jersey to wear on the day. Please ensure you have shorts and other playing equipment. A draw is attached.

In 2021, NO Opens trials will be held - This will be a paper selection.

NSWCCC hold the CCC Cup in Rugby League each year for Open Boys teams. The date for this event in 2021 is Wednesday 18th August.

Teams qualify through their own district knockouts which are held early each year. Teams need to register by Friday 19th February, 2021.

This year's sailing regatta runs from Tuesday 6th - Friday 9th April, 2021 at Belmont 16ft Sailing Club.

I have attached the Notice of Race for your information. Also attached is a consent form that either the Principal or Sport Organiser needs to sign. This form MUST be presented when they turn up to the event. The Sailing Instructions (which are the rules of the event) will be released about 2 weeks prior to the event.

All players MUST register online with NSWCCC and will be advised if they can attend the NSWCCC Softball trials in 2021. Registrations will open in early 2021

PDSSSC Teams Championships Selections

To enter you need 4 girls or 4 boys who attend your school to form a team to play a combination of singles and doubles matches.

Students from Year 7 to Year 11 are eligible to play at this event. (Year 12 students cannot participate in this event.)

This event will be held on Friday 30th April, 2021 at Rooty Hill Tennis Centre.
Entries close on Thursday 1st April, 2021

The first matches will begin at 8.30am and the event will finish by around 2.30pm with registrations from 8am.

Winning teams from Boys and Girls qualify for the NSWCCC Tennis Team Championships which are held each year in June.

In 2021, the event will be held on Monday 31st May.

There are 4 players in each team and they must come from the same school.

Congratulations to Our Lady of Mercy College - Girls and Bede Polding College - Boys who represented Parramatta Diocese at the 2019 NSWCCC Teams Tennis Championships. Unfortunately, this event was not held in 2020 due to COVID-19.

The 2021 NSWCCC Teams Tennis event will be held in Bathurst on Monday 31st May.

The winning team from the NSWCCC Teams Tennis event will represent NSWCCC at the Tennis Australia Teams event later in the year.

Selections for Pizzey Cup Trials

Tennis has avenues for individual and team events.

Individuals are selected in the following divisions:

• Opens Boys - Students can be in Year 7 to 12
• Opens Girls - Students can be in Year 7 to 12

8 boys and 8 girls will be selected to attend Pizzey Cup trials.

Students nominate to participate in the NSW All Schools Triathlon Championships. These championships include the NSWCCC Triathlon Championships. There are 2 events contested:

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED

• Junior – 400m swim, 10km cycle, 3km run
• Intermediate – 600m swim, 15km cycle, 4km run
• Senior – 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run

Relays (teams of 3 students from the same school)  CANCELLED FOR 2021

• Junior  - 400m swim, 10km cycle, 3km run
• Inter/Senior – 400m swim, 15km cycle, 4km run

These events are contested in the following divisions:

• Juniors – 12, 13, 14 Years (Born in 2009, 2008 or 2007)

• Seniors - 17, 18, 19 Years (Born in 2004, 2003 or 2002)

The Championships are held over 2 days in February at the International Regatta Centre, Penrith.

• NSWCCC Championships / Selections for 2020 : 17 Years Only (17 and under as at 31/12/20)

  Both trials are at Ryde. Closing Date for both genders is Thursday 11th March, 2021.
